The Peregrine – a scratchbuilt Nelson Pistol


This pistol by BigOldSkool of ECAP customs won the MCB Nelson Buildoff back in 2008. He built it from scratch using aluminum scrap and a minimal amount of tools. Well…almost scratchbuilt. I believe the body is harvested from an oldschool unibody gun, the valve body is from a Nelspot 007, the pierce pin is from a Tiberius magazine, and the internals are some muttly mashup of Nelspot compatible bolt/hammer valve. Impressive nonetheless!

There are several interesting design features including an integrated hi-viz fiber optic front sight, and a quick release 12 gram pocket milled into the rear of the frame. BOS did a great job one this one, despite being a self proclaimed Nelson hater.
